Kaká joined UEFA's elite list as Footballer of the Year, recognizing his superb ability and effort as AC Milan's forward. In addition, AC Milan successfully defended their title against FC Sevilla in Monaco yesterday, 3-1. AC Milan's playered garnered 4 of the 5 "Best" awards given by UEFA. Paolo Maldini won Best Defender, Clarence Seedorf as Best Defender, Kaká won Best Forward and Footballer of the Year (^.^) Peter Cech of Chelsea FC (my favorite EPL Club :>) won as best goalkeeper. Incidentally, Kaká also won in 2005 as Best Midfielder. FC Sevilla dedicated this game to Antonio Puerta, who died a couple of weeks ago due to cardiac arrest. Despite Kaká's 87th minute goal, Sevilla fans refused to be silenced. A most fitting tribute to Puerta was seen near the railings, Puerta Presente.
Redemption! AC Milan are the new kings of the UEFA League, after defeating Liverpool, 2-1. Inzaghi scored the 2 goals against the English Team, one for each half.
My Kaká, who was usually the scorer in the game, assisted Inzaghi in his final goal. Kaká was clearly a crowd favorite as the crowd goes wild whenever he has the ball.
Incidentally, Kaká is the top scorer this season, with 10 goals in 13 matches...sigh... A devout Christian, he dropped to his knees after the final whistle. Here's his photo with the I belong to Jesus shirt, after they won the game (which was shown 2am Manila time).
It is the 7th time that AC Milan held the UEFA Champions League Cup, and is one of the most important titles in football.

UEFA Champions League Finals Liverpool vs. AC Milan
I c an't help it!!! I'm smi ling li ke c ra zy and giddy with excitement. Delight is completely an understatement. After a par ticularly tough and uncertain season -- AC Milan is bound for Athens!!! Seasoned UEFA veterans Liverpool and AC Milan will face off on 24-May for the UEFA Cup Championship -- and this is not the first time. The last time they vied for the championship was in 2005, when Liverpool won the cup in Turkey captained by Gerrard (awww). I hope this time they bring home the cup!!! Incidentally, that was also the first time i was saw Kaká play, and fell head over heels in love. Haaaayyy -- it was love at first..kick! They lost...but Kaká won my heart. (nay! kurneh!)
Two of the best clubs in the UEFA Leagues faced off on Wednesday in what promised to be a highly charged game. ManU was virtually undefeated, while Milan was able to slide into the semis despite its early struggles. The Rossoneris displayed tenacity and determination, but it simply was not enough. Kaká scored the two goals, but after half time, Milan players (Gattuso and Maldini) were both injured and it took a toll on the team. The game was threatening to be a draw until Wayne Rooney scored a last gasp goal, leaving the Rossoneri in another limbo. Their next match at San Siro is promising to be a very exciting game, injured players nothwithstanding. * I think the only good thing about this game was that I was able to watch Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaká in one game. And it appeared I wasn't the only one who was thrilled with this game. Football fans all over remarked that both teams had their share of cute/hot/hunk (chunky?) players too. :D Photo courtesy of www.casualinistanbul.com

It's Kaká's 25th birthday today.:D Yep, mi chulo, mi amor, mi cariño, the Brazilian Maestro, Armani Model, and my favorite futbolista is a quarter of a century old... I wish they'd win the UEFA Championship :D Sorry Ate Butching, I love Chelsea, but my heart belongs to Kaká
wohoooo!!!! I love you Inzaghi!!! But not as much as I love Kaká !!! I'm scared about the next game though. Milan is up against Man U, and we all know that Man U has been unbeatable this season. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
