A Toast to Vanity

for everyone
My sisters and I have been looking forward to this event for the longest time and we almost didn't make it. It's been a long time since I drove up north, I missed the Dau Exit (I was still expecting to see an intersection), now that it has an exit ramp on its own, and ended up going straight to Mabalacat. It was a blessing in disguise as we were able to get to drive around the former Clark Air Base via the scenic route and missed out on all the traffic. Parking was not really a problem if you didn't mind walking far. Anyway, the sky was clear and blue, the air crisp and the wind was strong...not an ideal weather for hot air balloons which was why we came in the first place. They canceled that part of the show because it's dangerous to the balloonists. We flew a kite instead, which we never got to do when we were kids. It was really fun and Abby enjoyed it immensely. We left a little before 10am, just when the sun was getting fierce. We'll be back next year.
